SaleSys allows you to track every item that passes
through your organisation from Purchase Delivery to Sales Despatch. This is done
by means of Commodity Batches which represent instances of a defined
Commodity. For example if you sell a particular manufacturer's model of
Television (a Commodity in SaleSys), then you would identify a specific instance
of that model (i.e. an actual TV Set) by generating a Commodity Batch
when you took delivery.
Commodity Batch number and Reference (Serial) number: User-defined
options allow for either of these numbers to be generated automatically and
uniquely if desired, or alternatively, either or both can be entered manually.
Therefore a Batch Number or a Reference (Serial) Number can be used to represent
your internal tracking number or a manufacturer's serial number.
Furthermore, if you wish to track the items by batches of more than one (rather
than as single individual items) that can also be permitted too.
Both numbers are accessible from the transaction lines (shown below) in which
they are referenced, and from record of the Commodity of which they are an
instance.

SaleSys allows you to manage Warranties
issued against the commodities which you sell..
A Standard Warranty can be generated automatically with each Sales
Despatch of Commodities which you wish to issue warranties against. The warranty
period can be defined as part of the attributes of the commodity.
An Extended Warranty can be generated at any time against a Commodity
Batch, allowing the period of warranty to be extended. The extended warranty is
sold a product, although whether or not it is chargeable is user-determined at
the time of generation.
Warranty Reports can be generated to show warranties expiring within a
date range, to enable post-sales follow-up to be performed if desired.
